As the first quarter of 2023 concludes, Sensor Tower provides a thorough overview of the top drawing and coloring applications on the iOS platform in the United States. These applications have shown varying trends in downloads, revenue, and weekly active users. Here's a closer look at how each app performed during this period.
Color by Number:Coloring Games by Fun Games For Free saw a significant download count, starting the quarter with around 170k downloads and ending with nearly 60k. Revenue remained relatively stable, with a peak at around $148k in the middle of March. Weekly active users showed a downward trend, starting at around 695k and closing the quarter at approximately 440k.
X-Flow's Happy Color® Art Coloring Book also experienced a decline in downloads, from roughly 93k to 38k by the end of the quarter. Revenue saw a slight fluctuation, peaking early in the quarter at around $11k and concluding with about $6k. The weekly active users count started strong with around 1.3 million but saw a decrease, ending at about 1.2 million.
Makeup Kit - Color Mixing by Crazy Labs showed an initial download count of close to 79k, which decreased to about 31k. As the app generated no revenue, the focus was on user engagement, which saw a slight decrease in weekly active users from over 211k to just above 111k.
Crazy Labs' Phone Case DIY experienced an interesting uptick in downloads from around 25k to nearly 58k towards the end of the quarter. Similar to Makeup Kit - Color Mixing, it did not generate revenue during this period. Weekly active users started at around 219k but increased to approximately 154k, showing a more positive trend than its counterparts.
Lastly, Zen Color - Color By Number from KidultLovin saw a steady increase in both downloads and weekly active users. Downloads grew from about 34k to over 48k, and active users showed an upward trend, from around 107k to over 160k. Revenue for Zen Color was modest, starting at approximately $2.8k and ending the quarter around $2.6k.
