The first quarter of 2023 has seen a diverse range of user engagement within the top drawing and coloring applications on Android in the United States. Sensor Tower provides a detailed analysis of the market, revealing the performance of these creative outlets.
Tap Color Pro: Color By Number maintained a steady performance with downloads starting at around 40k in the last week of December and ending with approximately 29k by the end of March. Revenue began at around $13k and saw a slight fluctuation, ending close to $9k. Weekly active users showed a gradual decline from around 172k to 151k.
Paint by Number: Coloring Game illustrated a varied trajectory with downloads peaking at around 29k in late December, dipping to about 15k, and then stabilizing around 16k towards March. Revenue trends fluctuated from roughly $12k to $9k. The app experienced a rise in weekly active users, starting at approximately 333k and growing to 336k by the end of Q1.
Cross-Stitch World showed mixed results in terms of downloads, with an initial 918 downloads in the last week of December, no downloads for several weeks, and a peak of around 1.7k in mid-March. Revenue trends varied, starting at about $7k, peaking at nearly $10k in early February, and ending around $9k. Active users saw a gradual increase from around 3.8k to approximately 2.4k.
Gallery: Coloring Book & Decor had no downloads recorded for several weeks, with a peak at about 3k in late January. Revenue saw growth from roughly $5k to around $6.5k at the end of February, before ending at nearly $5k. Weekly active users experienced a decline from 32k to around 22k.
Recolor - Adult Coloring Book presented minimal download activity, with a peak of around 1.5k in mid-January and ending the quarter with 450 downloads. Revenue trends started at approximately $4k, with some fluctuations, and concluded the quarter at around $3.7k. Active users slightly decreased from nearly 3.9k to about 2.9k.
