Q2 2023 Performance of Top Wellness Apps on iOS in the US

In the second quarter of 2023, the wellness app category on iOS saw varied performance among its top applications in the United States. Insights provided by Sensor Tower reveal how these apps fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.
Calm experienced a decrease in both revenue and downloads over the quarter, with revenue dropping from around $971k to about $623k and downloads falling from around 103k to nearly 49k. The app's weekly active users also saw a declining trend, starting at around 1.1 million and decreasing to just over 1 million by the end of the quarter.
Headspace: Sleep & Meditation also observed a downward trend in revenue, from approximately $435k to around $351k. The app's downloads followed a similar pattern, with a decrease from about 25k to nearly 15k by the end of Q2. The weekly active users for Headspace showed a dip from around 464k to approximately 396k.
Breeze: Mental Health displayed more stability in its revenue, with numbers fluctuating around the $170k to $190k mark throughout the quarter, ending with roughly $172k. Downloads peaked in mid-May at about 64k but then dropped to around 42k. Weekly active users peaked at nearly 198k but saw a decline to approximately 159k by the quarter's end.
ShutEye®: Sleep Tracker, Sound showed a mixed revenue trend, starting at around $220k, dipping to about $159k, and then rising again to nearly $185k before closing the quarter at approximately $175k. Downloads spiked in mid-May at around 89k but then fell to nearly 80k. The app's weekly active users started at around 143k and ended the quarter at a similar level of roughly 134k.
BetterSleep: Relax and Sleep saw its revenue decline from around $178k to about $139k over the course of the quarter. The app's downloads started at roughly 68k, peaked at around 87k in early June, and then decreased to approximately 62k. Weekly active users showed a slight increase from around 352k to nearly 372k.
