In the last quarter of 2022, the MMORPG category saw interesting trends in Latin America. Sensor Tower's data shows how the top five apps in this genre performed in terms of downloads, revenue, and user activity.
Ark Games' The Legend of Neverland experienced a downward trend in downloads, starting the quarter with around 142k downloads and ending at approximately 59k. Revenue also saw a decline, peaking at around $28k and dropping to about $22k by the end of the quarter. Weekly active users followed a similar pattern, starting with around 188k users and decreasing to roughly 134k.
Dragon Trail: Hunter World, published by 4399TH, showed fluctuating revenue, with a high of around $50k and ending the year at about $37k. Downloads peaked at around 57k but saw a decrease to about 32k by the end of December. The weekly active users had a high of approximately 71k and saw a slight increase to around 51k in the final week of the quarter.
For Dino Tamers: Jurassic MMORPG by AppForge Inc., revenue was minimal, peaking at $519 in a single week. The game's downloads started at about 65k and ended slightly lower at around 26k. The weekly active users had a high of approximately 77k, which gradually decreased to about 46k.
Rage Quit Games' Evil Lands: MMO RPG saw a significant jump in revenue from $780 to a notable $4.8k by the year's end. Downloads for the game also increased, starting at around 36k and rising to nearly 48k. The weekly active user count followed an upward trend from around 96k to approximately 116k.
Lastly, School of Dragons by Knowledge Adventure displayed a steady revenue pattern, peaking at around $2.4k. The game's downloads saw a significant rise from about 44k to 45k. Weekly active users started at around 213k and increased to about 216k, showcasing the game's enduring appeal.
