The title was first released in 2016, and up until the end of 2021, had only accumulated 31,800 installs worldwide. During the first two months of 2022, the game racked up more than 9 million downloads off the back of the success of the viral Wordle web game, developed by Josh Wardle.

Clash of Clans from Supercell, meanwhile, had its best month since June 2019, picking up 6 million installs in February, a rise of approximately 48 percent Y/Y. A boost in downloads coincided with a new update to the title that featured various quality of life improvements, as well as the new ‘Extra Life for Heroes’ feature, which enables players to return a Hero to battle without waiting for them to heal.
