Connected Credentials Security FAQ

Sensor Tower allows you to connect your App Store Connect account, Google Play Developer account, or Firebase Developer account to our platform so you can track how well your apps are doing. We take security seriously so you can rest assured that your data is in safe hands.

General security questions

• Is it safe to connect my App Store / Google Play / Firebase accounts to Sensor Tower?

• Yes; Sensor Tower is SOC II compliant. We also continuously test and monitor our comprehensive security and infrastructure controls — including strict access controls and encryption of your Account-related data at rest and in transit.

• What will my data be used for?

• Your data will be used to generate your dashboards in My Sales Metrics and/or My App Analytics so that you can monitor your apps' performance with real data instead of estimates. These dashboards will also allow you to set up Custom Alerts based on triggers such as significant changes in your Download or Revenue trends.

  Your data will also contribute to improving the accuracy of our estimates for apps in your space.

• Will you share my data with other developers or Sensor Tower customers?

• Never. Your data will stay private and is regarded as confidential. As such, access to your data is tightly restricted to necessary individuals only, according to our security policies.

• Connecting your Accounts allows you to view your app performance metrics in one dashboard alongside the rich app insights we provide on our platform. Instead of managing this data using several platforms, you can:

  • compare your strategy to your competitors'; and

  • receive automated insights and custom alerts.

• What benefits will I get when I connect my data?

• When connecting your Accounts to Sensor Tower you’ll get access to exclusive benefits such as:

  • a single source of truth for both App Store and Google Play downloads and revenue;

  • our CSV export and API export functionality;

  • My Sales Metrics so you can share remittance information with your Finance team;

  • our permissions controls to give members of your team access to important data without adding them to precious developer portals. It's easier, faster, and more secure; and

  • improved aggregate estimates for your apps — and your competitors' apps — so you can benchmark more accurately.

Disconnecting your Accounts

• Can I disconnect my Accounts at any time?

• Yes, you can use the management interface to disconnect Accounts at any time.

  If you are part of a team that shares access to the same Accounts, access for your team members will persist under their Sensor Tower accounts until the last team member elects to disconnect the Accounts.

• Once disconnected, what will happen to the data that Sensor Tower was able to access?

• The data will remain confidential and used only in strict accordance with the license that was provided under our Terms of Service.
