Virtual Pet App Trend Analysis in Latin America for Q1 2021

The first quarter of 2021 has shown interesting trends for the top virtual pet applications in Latin America. Here, we provide an overview of the performance of these apps, with data sourced from Sensor Tower for a comprehensive understanding of user engagement and popularity.

My Talking Tom Friends, published by Outfit7 Limited, witnessed fluctuating download numbers, starting at around 649K in the last week of December 2020 and seeing a slight dip to approximately 525K by the end of March 2021. The weekly active users showed a similar trend, peaking at around 7.6M in late February before settling close to 7.1M by the end of March.

My Talking Tom 2 also exhibited a decrease in downloads over the quarter, from 584K to around 506K. The weekly active users remained relatively stable, starting at about 6.3M and ending the quarter with approximately 6M active users.

My Talking Angela downloads began at 526K and experienced a slight increase to 492K by March end. This app saw a rise in weekly active users from nearly 4.9M to 4.7M during the same period.

Another app from Outfit7 Limited, My Talking Tom, showed a decline in downloads from 437K to 356K. Its active users saw a slight drop from 2.8M to 2.6M over the quarter.

Lastly, Moy 7 The Virtual Pet Game by Frojo Apps, which does not report revenue, had its downloads grow from roughly 215K to 281K. The weekly active users for Moy 7 increased from about 756K to 972K, indicating a strong user retention throughout the quarter.
