In the third quarter of 2021, the top five carpooling and ridesharing apps on the iOS platform in Angola experienced varied performance. Here's a closer look at the trends for Heetch - Ride-hailing app, Uber - Request a ride, Bolt: Request a Ride, Careem – rides, food & more, and DiDi Rider: Affordable rides.

Heetch - Ride-hailing app saw a consistent increase in weekly downloads, starting at 680 and peaking at 934 in mid-August. Active users also showed growth, rising from 2.6K in late June to approximately 3.6K by the end of September.

For Uber - Request a ride, downloads fluctuated between 35 and 84 per week, with the highest spike occurring in early August. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 2.1K to 2.3K throughout the quarter.

Bolt: Request a Ride demonstrated a modest increase in downloads, with numbers ranging from 18 to 59 weekly. Active users showed a slight upward trend, growing from 454 at the start of the quarter to 502 by the end.

Careem – rides, food & more experienced a significant surge in downloads, especially in early September, where it peaked at 81 downloads per week. Active users saw a notable increase from 20 in early August to 80 in mid-September, slightly declining to 68 by the end of the quarter.

Finally, DiDi Rider: Affordable rides experienced varied downloads, with a peak of 67 in early September. Active users grew steadily from 11 in early July to 98 by mid-September, slightly decreasing to 94 by the end of the quarter.
