Top 5 Communication Apps on Android in Belarus for Q1 2022

In the first quarter of 2022, the top five communication apps on the Android platform in Belarus were Telegram, WhatsApp Messenger, Мой А1, Мой МТС (Беларусь), and Rakuten Viber Messenger. Here’s a closer look at their performance based on data from Sensor Tower.

Telegram showed a significant increase in weekly downloads, peaking at around 53K in early March. Its weekly active users steadily climbed from approximately 2.2M at the start of January to around 2.3M by the end of March.

WhatsApp Messenger maintained a consistent download rate throughout the quarter, with a peak of about 17K downloads in the last week of March. Active users fluctuated slightly, starting at around 442K and ending the quarter at approximately 391K.

Мой А1 saw a notable uptick in downloads towards the end of the quarter, reaching around 18K in late March. Weekly active users increased from roughly 127K at the beginning of January to about 154K by the end of March.

Мой МТС (Беларусь) experienced a peak in downloads in late March, hitting approximately 12.5K. Active user numbers showed a steady rise from about 540K at the beginning of January to around 581K by the end of the quarter.

Rakuten Viber Messenger had a consistent download performance, with a peak of about 11.5K in the last week of March. Active users remained stable, hovering around 3.6M throughout the quarter. Revenue peaked at $273 in mid-March.
