Here’s a look at the performance of the top 5 word puzzle games: Wordscapes, Wordscapes Search, Wordle, Word Challenge-Daily Word Game, and W Challenge - Daily Word Game.
Wordscapes from PeopleFun witnessed a stable increase in weekly revenue, peaking at around $260K in mid-March. Weekly downloads fluctuated, reaching a high of approximately 125K in the last week of December and a low of about 61K at the end of February. The game’s active users varied, maintaining a range between 1.5M and 1.7M throughout the quarter.
Wordscapes Search, also from PeopleFun, saw modest weekly revenue, peaking at around $4.5K in early March. Weekly downloads exhibited a notable decline from about 114K in early February to around 44K by the end of the month. Active users showed a positive trend initially, peaking at approximately 775K in mid-February before dropping to around 610K by the end of March.
Wordle by The New York Times Company had a remarkable start in 2022. Weekly downloads peaked at around 143K in mid-January but saw a significant decline to about 19K by the end of March. Active users followed a similar trend, with numbers peaking at around 160K in mid-February and then decreasing to approximately 49K by the end of the quarter.
Word Challenge-Daily Word Game from MeeGame Studio showed impressive growth. Weekly revenue peaked at around $3.1K in late February, while weekly downloads reached their highest at approximately 165K in the same period. Active users saw substantial growth, peaking at around 310K in early March before declining slightly to around 236K by the end of the quarter.
W Challenge - Daily Word Game by Panteon had a mixed performance. Weekly revenue peaked at around $8.3K in early February, while weekly downloads saw a high of approximately 186K in late January. Active users peaked at around 207K in early February but then gradually declined to about 81K by the end of March.
