In the fourth quarter of 2022, the carpooling and ridesharing app market in Spain saw significant activity across top applications. Data from Sensor Tower provides a detailed look into the performance of the leading apps, including Uber - Request a ride, Bolt: Request a Ride, Cabify, BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus, and Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver.
Throughout Q4 2022, Uber experienced a dynamic trend in weekly downloads, starting at 44.5K in late September and peaking at approximately 55.9K by the end of December. The number of weekly active users saw fluctuations, starting at 853K and ending the quarter at around 848K, with a notable peak of 940K in mid-December.
Bolt's weekly downloads varied throughout the quarter, beginning at 34.3K and reaching a high of 36.8K in early December. Active users remained relatively stable, starting at 120K and ending at 112K, with minor fluctuations observed throughout the period.
Cabify demonstrated a consistent increase in weekly downloads, starting at 28.2K and climbing to 35.7K by the end of December. Active users also showed a significant upward trend, beginning at 310K and peaking at 407K in mid-December before settling at around 345K.
BlaBlaCar saw a decline in weekly downloads, starting at 18.6K and ending at 13.7K. However, the number of active users remained relatively steady, starting at 151K and ending at approximately 131K, with minor fluctuations throughout the quarter.
Uber Driver's weekly downloads showed a varied pattern, beginning at 2.4K and peaking at 9.2K in late October before ending the quarter at 5.9K. Active users increased steadily, starting at 31K and reaching 48K by mid-December, with a slight dip to around 45K at the end of the quarter.
