In the fourth quarter of 2022, the top five fitness and weight loss apps on a unified platform in the United Kingdom showed diverse performance trends in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users, according to Sensor Tower data. Here's a closer look at how these apps fared:
Fitbit: Health & Fitness experienced fluctuations in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $237K in the last week of December. Weekly downloads saw a significant spike in mid-December, reaching around 100K, while active users varied throughout the quarter, ending with approximately 770K in the final week.
Sweatcoin Walking Step Counter had relatively stable weekly downloads, peaking at almost 25K in late October. Revenue remained modest, with a slight increase to around $5.7K in the last week of December. Active users showed a general decline, finishing the quarter at roughly 449K.
MyFitnessPal: Calorie Counter maintained steady weekly revenue, averaging around $200K, with a slight dip to $166K in mid-December. Downloads saw a notable increase in the last week of December, reaching approximately 25K. Active users started strong at over 856K and closed the quarter at around 761K.
The Official TCS London Marathon app saw a dramatic drop in weekly downloads after an initial peak of 153K at the beginning of October. Active users followed a similar trend, starting at 68K and reducing to 8.6K by the end of the quarter.
Calorie Counter + showed consistent weekly revenue with a peak of approximately $136K in the last week of December. Downloads remained relatively stable, with a peak of around 19K in late October. Active users saw a slight increase towards the end of the quarter, finishing at roughly 132K.
