In the first quarter of 2023, the top food delivery services on the Android platform in Turkey displayed varied performance trends in terms of downloads and active users. Here, we break down the performance of the top 5 apps: Yemeksepeti - Food & Grocery, getir: groceries in minutes, Tıkla Gelsin® - Online Yemek, İsteGelsin: Online Market, and Mogaz.
Yemeksepeti - Food & Grocery experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, starting strong with over 115K downloads in late January, dropping to around 60K in mid-February, but rebounding to approximately 89K by the end of March. Active users peaked at around 2.5M in mid-January, then dipped to roughly 1.5M in mid-February, before rising again to around 2M by the end of the quarter.
getir: groceries in minutes showed a steady download pattern with a high of 94K in late January. However, the downloads dropped to approximately 44K in mid-February, and rose again to about 74K by mid-March. Active users saw a decline from around 3.4M at the start of the quarter to approximately 2.4M in early February, before recovering to around 2.6M by the end of March.
Tıkla Gelsin® - Online Yemek had a notable increase in weekly downloads, starting at around 24K and peaking at 56K in mid-March. Active users also grew from around 126K at the beginning of the quarter to approximately 181K by mid-March, before stabilizing around 149K at the end of the quarter.
İsteGelsin: Online Market experienced a significant drop in downloads from around 19K in early January to roughly 3K by mid-February. However, the app saw a resurgence, ending the quarter with nearly 29K downloads. Active users followed a similar pattern, declining from about 254K in early January to around 136K in mid-February, before rising to approximately 260K by the end of March.
Mogaz had a more stable but lower download rate, with weekly downloads ranging from around 3.2K to 6.9K throughout the quarter.
