During the first quarter of 2023, the carpooling and ridesharing app market in Latvia displayed varied performance across different applications. Here, we analyze the trends for the top 5 apps: Bolt: Request a Ride, Uber - Request a ride, Yandex Go: Taxi Food Delivery, Careem – rides, food & more, and BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, offers insights into weekly downloads and active user trends.
Bolt: Request a Ride saw significant fluctuations in weekly downloads throughout Q1 2023. Starting with around 1.8K downloads in the last week of December, the app experienced a dip to about 1.3K by late January. However, it rebounded strongly in March, peaking at approximately 3.7K downloads in the week of March 20, before settling at around 2.5K in the final week of the quarter.
Uber - Request a ride maintained a more stable download trend. Weekly downloads ranged between 325 and 614, showing a slight peak in mid-March with about 749 downloads. The app closed the quarter with approximately 471 downloads in the last week of March.
Yandex Go: Taxi Food Delivery exhibited a relatively steady performance in weekly downloads. Starting at around 238 downloads in the last week of December, the app saw minor fluctuations, with a slight peak of 247 downloads in mid-March. By the end of the quarter, weekly downloads were around 165.
Careem – rides, food & more experienced a modest but consistent increase in downloads during Q1 2023. The app started with about 63 downloads in the last week of December and peaked at approximately 197 downloads in mid-March. The quarter ended with 73 downloads in the final week.
BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus had a stable performance in terms of weekly downloads. The app started the quarter with around 86 downloads and showed slight increases and decreases, peaking at 106 downloads in the last week of March.
