During the second quarter of 2023, the top five carpooling and ridesharing apps in Spain demonstrated diverse performance trends on a unified platform, according to Sensor Tower data. Here’s a closer look at their weekly downloads and active user metrics:
Uber - Request a ride maintained a strong presence with a notable increase in weekly downloads and active users. Downloads peaked at approximately 63K in the week of June 19, while weekly active users grew from around 828K at the start of the quarter to over 971K by the end of June.
Cabify also saw a positive trend in both downloads and active users. Weekly downloads reached a high of about 45K in the week of June 26. Active users increased steadily from roughly 309K at the end of March to over 358K by the end of June.
Bolt: Request a Ride experienced a moderate growth in weekly downloads, hitting a peak of around 29K in the final week of June. Active users showed a slight increase, starting at approximately 103K and rising to about 121K by the end of the quarter.
BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus had a mixed quarter. Downloads saw fluctuations but reached a peak of around 23K in the week of June 19. Active users remained relatively stable, with a slight increase from around 139K at the beginning of April to approximately 123K by the end of June.
Finally, Voltio by Mutua - Carsharing showed less volatility in downloads, peaking at about 6K in late March and then stabilizing around 3K in June.
