In the second quarter of 2023, the top carpooling and ridesharing apps in the Netherlands showed varied performance across downloads and active user metrics. Below is a detailed overview of the performance of Bolt: Request a Ride, Uber - Request a ride, inDrive. Save on city rides, BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus, and Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver.
Bolt: Request a Ride saw a consistent increase in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 14.7K in the final week of April. The app's active users mirrored this growth, climbing from 43.1K at the start of the quarter to 49.1K by the end of June.
Uber - Request a ride showed a steady rise in both downloads and active users. Weekly downloads ranged from 8.2K to 14.5K, with notable peaks in late April and late June. Active users followed a similar trend, increasing from 234.7K to 274.9K throughout the quarter.
inDrive. Save on city rides experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, peaking at 2.1K in mid-May before dropping to 970 by the end of June. Active users also showed some variability, starting at 8K and ending the quarter slightly higher at 8.6K.
BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus maintained a relatively stable download rate, with weekly downloads hovering around 1.2K. Active users displayed a modest increase from 8K to around 8.6K over the quarter.
Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver had a consistent performance with weekly downloads fluctuating between 942 and 1.2K. Active users remained stable, starting at 20.8K and ending the quarter at 21.4K.
