In the second quarter of 2023, the top five food and diet tracking applications in Ireland displayed varied performance trends in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users.
MyFitnessPal: Calorie Counter saw weekly revenue peaking at around $29K in early June, while weekly downloads fluctuated, reaching a high of approximately 2.7K in early May. The app maintained a strong user base, with weekly active users ranging from 140K to 160K, peaking in late May.
Yuka - Food & Cosmetic Scanner experienced modest revenue, with a notable increase to $454 in the first week of June. Weekly downloads were highest in early April at over 2.6K, while weekly active users peaked at 10.3K in early June, showing a steady growth over the quarter.
Calorie Counter + from NutraTech Ltd showed consistent revenue, peaking at $7.3K in the final week of June. Downloads saw a significant rise in mid-June, reaching about 1.9K. The app’s active user base also saw an increase, peaking at 12.4K in mid-June.
BodyFast: Intermittent Fasting had weekly revenue peaking at $2.5K in early April. Downloads varied, with a high of 1.2K in mid-April. Active users saw a peak of 3.3K in mid-April, with numbers generally remaining above 2.5K throughout the quarter.
Fastic: Food & Calorie Tracker reported steady revenue, peaking at $1.7K in the last week of June. Downloads were highest in mid-May at 832. Active users saw a peak of 4.3K in late May, showing stable engagement throughout the quarter.
