In Q3 2023, the top social networking apps in Turkey showcased interesting trends in downloads, revenue, and weekly active users. Here’s a detailed look at the performance of Threads, an Instagram app, WhatsApp Messenger, Telegram Messenger, Facebook, and Messenger.
Threads, an Instagram app saw significant fluctuations in downloads throughout the quarter. Starting strong with approximately 1.3M downloads in the first week of July, the app experienced a peak again in late August with around 560K downloads. Weekly active users showed a consistent rise, peaking at about 2M at the end of August.
WhatsApp Messenger maintained a steady download rate, with numbers ranging between 300K to 470K weekly. Active users increased steadily, starting at around 50.1M in late June and reaching approximately 50.6M by the end of September.
Telegram Messenger exhibited stable revenue, peaking at around $22.7K in late July. Downloads fluctuated, reaching a high of about 284K in the last week of July. Active users showed a gradual increase, from around 8.5M in late June to approximately 8.6M by the end of September.
Facebook experienced a notable revenue peak of about $62.9K in the last week of July. Downloads remained stable, averaging around 180K to 190K per week. Active users showed a slight decline, from approximately 34.2M in late June to around 32.9M by the end of September.
Lastly, Messenger saw modest revenue, peaking at about $192 in mid-August. Downloads remained relatively stable, averaging around 90K to 100K per week. Active users showed a slight decline, from around 22.7M in late June to about 21.6M by the end of September.
