As the year 2023 wrapped up, the arcade racing genre continued to captivate mobile gamers across Latin America. Insights from Sensor Tower provide a glimpse into how five leading racing apps performed on the Android platform during the fourth quarter.
Gameloft SE's Asphalt 9: Legends saw its revenue peaking at the end of November with $22K, complemented by a strong finish in downloads at 83K in the week of December 18th. The weekly active users (WAU) also showed a positive trend, ending the quarter with 235K active users.
Another title from the same publisher, Asphalt 8 - Car Racing Game, demonstrated enduring popularity. Despite being a much older game, it managed to garner up to 215K downloads towards the end of December and concluded the quarter with a notable 578K active users.
Need for Speed™ No Limits by ELECTRONIC ARTS maintained stable revenue throughout the quarter, with a slight rise in mid-December reaching $16K. The game achieved a significant download spike in mid-December with over 254K downloads and saw its highest WAU at 1.36M in the same period.
From the house of Madbox, Pocket Champs: 3D Racing Games showed a robust revenue increase in the last week of December, hitting $18K. The downloads saw a high of 88K in the same week, while WAUs reached their peak at 220K in early December.
Lastly, CarX Technologies, LLC's CarX Street, a newcomer released in early 2023, displayed a consistent increase in revenue, ending the quarter on a high note with $7.6K. Downloads for the game peaked in late December with over 32K, while active users reached their zenith at 138K.
