Throughout the fourth quarter of 2023, the leading food delivery apps in Sweden demonstrated varying trends in downloads and weekly active users. Here is a detailed look at the performance of the top 5 apps based on Sensor Tower data.
foodora: Food & Groceries saw a steady increase in downloads, starting at approximately 2.6K in late September and peaking at around 3.5K by the end of December. Weekly active users also showed an upward trend from about 31.3K to 32.2K over the same period.
Too Good To Go: End Food Waste experienced fluctuating download numbers, beginning with 4.4K downloads in late September and ending with 2.1K in the final week of December. However, the app maintained a strong base of weekly active users, ranging from 72.6K to 71.2K throughout the quarter.
Wolt Delivery: Food and more had a relatively stable performance in terms of downloads, with numbers hovering around 1.9K to 2K for most of the quarter. Weekly active users showed a slight decline, starting from 23.6K in late September and ending at 22.6K by the end of December.
Uber Eats: Food Delivery downloads varied over the quarter, beginning at 1.6K in late September and dropping to 958 by the end of December. Weekly active users followed a downward trend, starting from 37.9K and decreasing to 29.4K over the same period.
HelloFresh: Meal Kit Delivery experienced a notable decline in downloads, starting at 1.6K in late September and reaching a low of 230 in mid-December before recovering slightly to 827 by the end of the month. Weekly active users showed fluctuations, with numbers ranging from 37.3K to 41.5K throughout the quarter.
