As the year 2023 came to a close, the books application category in Europe saw some interesting trends in user engagement and downloads. Sensor Tower's data provides a clear view of how these top 5 applications performed in the fourth quarter.

Audible: Audio Entertainment, despite fluctuations, maintained a consistent revenue stream, ending the quarter with $894K. The app saw a significant increase in downloads, reaching 170K in the last week of December. Weekly active users saw a slight decrease overall, from 2.95M to 2.94M.

Amazon Kindle maintained a relatively low revenue, peaking at $106 and ending the quarter at $42. Downloads, however, peaked considerably in the last week of December with 180K new installations. There was a notable rise in weekly active users, ending the year at 2.36M, up from 2.17M at the start of the quarter.
