In the fourth quarter of 2023, the top carpooling and ridesharing apps in Malta displayed varied performance trends on the unified platform, combining data from both iOS and Android. Here’s a closer look at how the top five apps fared.
Bolt: Request a Ride from BOLT TECHNOLOGY OU experienced a fluctuating yet ultimately positive trend in weekly downloads. Starting the quarter at 3.1K downloads, the app saw a dip to 1.2K in early October. However, it rebounded significantly towards the end of the quarter, peaking at 2.2K downloads in the week of December 18.
Uber - Request a ride maintained a relatively stable performance throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads were consistent, starting at 1.9K and hovering around the 1K mark for most of the period, finishing the quarter at approximately 1K downloads.
inDrive. Save on city rides from SUOL INNOVATIONS LTD showed a declining trend in weekly downloads. The app started the quarter with 371 downloads, but this number gradually decreased, reaching a low of 88 downloads in mid-December before slightly recovering to 181 downloads by the end of the quarter.
Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver also showed a steady trend in weekly downloads. The app started with 151 downloads and maintained a consistent performance, peaking at 199 downloads in early December and ending the quarter with 194 downloads.
Rapido: Bike-Taxi, Auto & Cabs from Roppen Transportation Services Private Limited had a mixed performance. The app began with 177 downloads and experienced fluctuations throughout the quarter, hitting a low of 39 downloads in mid-December before ending the quarter with 99 downloads.
