The fourth quarter of 2023 saw interesting trends in the performance of the top food delivery apps in Costa Rica. Here's a detailed look at how the leading apps fared in terms of downloads and weekly active users.
PedidosYa - Delivery App experienced a fluctuating trend in downloads, starting with 5.7K in the last week of September and peaking at 8.4K in the final week of October. By the end of December, downloads decreased to 4.6K. The weekly active users remained fairly stable, hovering around 230K to 250K throughout the quarter.
Uber Eats: Food Delivery saw a steady increase in downloads, starting at 4K in late September and reaching 4.8K by the end of December. However, weekly active users showed a slight decline, from 62.6K at the end of September to 52.4K in the last week of December.
Rappi: Market and Food Online had a notable drop in downloads, going from 2K in late September to as low as 408 in the week of November 20. However, there was a recovery towards the end of December, with downloads reaching 830. The active users showed a significant dip in November but rebounded strongly in December, peaking at 90.3K in the week of December 11.
Glovo: Food Delivery and more maintained a stable number of downloads, fluctuating between 400 and 540 throughout the quarter. Weekly active users remained consistent, with numbers ranging from 68.5K to 73.2K.
Uber Eats Orders had downloads varying between 261 and 353 during the quarter. The weekly active users showed minor fluctuations, staying around 2.8K to 3K.
