In the fourth quarter of 2023, the performance of the top 5 food delivery apps in El Salvador showed interesting trends in downloads and weekly active users, according to data from Sensor Tower.
PedidosYa - Delivery Online experienced fluctuations in downloads, starting the quarter at around 10.4K and seeing a dip to approximately 7.7K in late November before ending the quarter with around 8.4K downloads. Weekly active users for the app showed more stability, starting at 196.6K and peaking at about 205.9K in mid-December, before slightly dropping to 204.5K by the end of the quarter.
Uber Eats: Food Delivery showed a steady increase in downloads, from 2.5K at the beginning of the quarter to a peak of 3.4K in mid-December, before ending the quarter at around 1.6K. Weekly active users followed a similar pattern, beginning at 32.3K and peaking at 36.7K in early December, then declining to 30.1K by the end of the quarter.
Swiggy Food, Grocery & Dineout had varied download numbers, starting with 172 downloads and spiking to 3.2K in mid-October, then fluctuating between 1.2K and 2.5K for the rest of the quarter. The app's weekly active users showed a consistent rise, from 6.4K at the start to a peak of 12.7K in late December.
foodpanda: food & groceries saw a moderate increase in downloads, beginning at 645 and peaking at 1.5K in late October, before ending the quarter at around 737. Weekly active users for the app showed a steady increase from 11K at the start to a peak of 14.5K in mid-December, before slightly decreasing to 13.5K by the end of the quarter.
DoorDash - Food Delivery had relatively lower download numbers, starting at 255 and peaking at 729 in mid-October, ending the quarter at around 374. The app's weekly active users showed a consistent rise, starting at 3.8K and peaking at 5.3K in mid-December, before slightly dropping to 5.1K by the end of the quarter.
