Q1 2024 Performance of Top Virtual Pet Apps on Android in the US

In the first quarter of 2024, the Virtual Pet category has seen varied performance among the top apps on Android in the United States, with insights provided by Sensor Tower.

My Talking Tom 2 by Outfit7 Limited started the quarter with approximately 76K downloads and 560K weekly active users, but experienced a downtrend, closing at about 51K downloads and 505K active users by the end of March. Revenue also saw a decrease from $743K in the first week of January to $489K in the last week of March.

My Talking Angela 2, also from Outfit7, mirrored this trend with an initial 70K downloads and approximately 241K weekly active users. The app closed the quarter with around 57K downloads and over 214K active users. Revenue saw a drop from $799K to $413K during this period.

My Talking Tom Friends showed a more stable pattern in terms of revenue, which peaked at $3.7M in mid-February before settling at $2.7M by March end. Downloads and weekly active users fluctuated, starting at 58K and 494K respectively, and ending at 46K downloads with 458K active users.

Cat Choices: Virtual Pet 3D from ABI Game Studio, which had no revenue, started with 25K downloads and 160K weekly active users. The app saw an initial spike, reaching 39K downloads and 231K active users towards the end of February, but ended the quarter with a decline to 18K downloads and roughly 243K active users.

Bruno - My Super Slime Pet, developed by Dramaton, had a mixed quarter. Despite starting and ending with no revenue, there was a brief period of monetization in February. Downloads showed an overall upward trend, from 19K in the first week of January to 30K by the end of March, while weekly active users increased from 95K to 146K.
