As the first quarter of 2024 comes to a close, Sensor Tower has analyzed the performance of the top iOS food and diet tracking apps in the United States. Here's how they fared:
MyFitnessPal: Calorie Counter has maintained a strong presence with revenues peaking at $2.7M in late January and downloads reaching approximately 155K in the first week of January. Weekly active users showed a high during the second week of January at around 3.2M, with a slight downward trend to 2.8M by the end of March.
WeightWatchers Program saw its revenue hit a high of $736K mid-January, with downloads starting at 35K in the first week of January and dipping to around 12K by the end of March. Weekly active users fluctuated, with a starting point of 126K and ending the quarter at 94K.
For Lose It! – Calorie Counter, revenues peaked at over $1M in the first week of January, while downloads began at 51K and ended the quarter at around 37K. Weekly active users were highest at the beginning of January with approximately 1.2M, and concluded the quarter just under 1M.
Noom: Healthy Weight Loss Plan experienced its highest revenue for the quarter at $353K in the second week of January. Downloads began at approximately 39K and saw a decrease to 11K by the end of March. Weekly active user numbers started at around 415K and maintained stability, ending the quarter at about 327K.
Lastly, MacroFactor - Macro Tracker showed an interesting revenue trend with an initial $81K in the first week of January, peaking at $156K in the second week, and then stabilizing around $112K by the end of March. Downloads for the app saw a spike in mid-March at over 12K, while weekly active users saw a steady increase from 55K to 83K throughout the quarter.
