In the second quarter of 2024, the UK's Android market witnessed notable trends among the top personal finance budgeting and planning applications. Sensor Tower provides a deeper look into the performance of these apps.
Splitwise, a widely-used finance tool, showed a steady increase in downloads starting from 3.5K in the first week of April to a peak of 5K in the first week of June, before settling at 4.7K by the end of June. Weekly active users fluctuated, beginning at 19.6K and dipping to 16.6K mid-April, but recovered and continued to grow, reaching 19K in the last week of June. Revenue trends were slightly more erratic, with amounts ranging from $1.3K to $1.8K over the quarter.
Snoop Finance | Budget Tracker also had a varied quarter. Downloads declined from 5K to 3.7K, while active users started strong at 63.4K, decreased over the following weeks, and then rose back to 61K. Revenue peaked at $5.4K in the second week of April, with some fluctuations, ending the quarter at $3.6K.
NatWest Rooster Money experienced a consistent downloads trend, hovering around 3.5K for most of the quarter, with a slight increase to 3.7K by June end. The app had no reported revenue but saw a significant spike in active users from 15.7K to an impressive 82K in May, which then stabilized at 82K by the quarter's end.
Emma - Budget Planner Tracker presented a decline in downloads from 1.6K to 1.2K. The app's revenue showed some volatility, with a notable peak of $3.8K in early May. Weekly active users saw a significant rise mid-May from 50.6K to 64.4K but then followed a downward trend to 54.4K in the last week of June.
Lastly, HyperJar: Money Management App did not report any revenue. Downloads for the app were modest, starting at 961 and showing a noticeable jump to 2K in mid-June. The app's active user data was not provided.
