Android's Top 5 Pirate Games Soar in Q2 2024

In the second quarter of 2024, the pirate-themed gaming category on Android saw varied performances across the board. Sensor Tower provides insights into how these swashbuckling adventures fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and user engagement.

Starting with Sea of Conquest: Pirate War, the game launched by FunPlus International AG showed a dip in downloads, starting at 1K in the first week of April and descending to 683K by the end of June. Weekly active users, however, climbed from 10K to 11K over the quarter, indicating a growing and stable user base.

Sea of Conquest: Pirate War also experienced fluctuations in revenue, peaking at $4K in early April and then again in early May, but ended the quarter with a slight downturn at $3K.

Pirates of the Caribbean: ToW, developed by JOYCITY Corp., had modest revenue figures that saw a high of $439K mid-May but ended the quarter at $202K. Sea of Conquest: Pirate War and Pirates of the Caribbean: ToW both showed revenue generation, while Roger That: Merge Adventure! demonstrated a more erratic pattern in revenue and downloads but had a promising start in weekly active users.

Pirate Kings™️ from Playtika, despite being an older title, managed to generate revenue with a spike to $156K in early May. The game, however, did not report any new downloads throughout the quarter, and weekly active user data was not available.

Lastly, Pirate Treasures: Jewel & Gems by TAPCLAP, showed a revenue range between $9K and $24K, with the highest point in early June. Downloads had a spike in mid-April with 664K but ceased afterward. Weekly active users peaked at 339K in late April but saw a gradual decrease to 140K by the end of June.
