In Q2 2024, the top five racing games on the Android platform in Africa exhibited diverse trends in weekly downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at their performance, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Ramp Car Games: GT Car Stunts from Fun Drive Games saw consistent weekly downloads, starting strong at 159K in early April and peaking at 196K in mid-June. Active users increased steadily from 2.6M to 3.2M by the end of the quarter. Weekly revenue fluctuated, peaking at $18 in early June.
Car Race 3D: Car Racing by Zego Studio experienced a decline in weekly downloads from 163K in early April to 125K by late June. However, weekly revenue showed a positive trend, rising from $24 to $83 over the quarter. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating around 600K.
Street Racing 3D from JoyTap Inc. saw a mixed performance with downloads dropping from 195K to 87K by the end of June. Despite this, weekly revenue increased from $8 to $48. Active users declined from 721K to 519K throughout the quarter.
Real Car Driving: Race City 3D by Botanica Global had an impressive start with downloads peaking at 174K in early June before dropping significantly. Active users followed a similar pattern, peaking at 883K. Weekly revenue remained modest, peaking at $15 in early May.
Moto Rider, Bike Racing Game from Zego Studio showed a steady increase in active users, from 829K to 856K. Downloads fluctuated, peaking at 192K in early April and stabilizing around 105K by the end of June. Revenue remained low, with a peak of $10 in mid-June.
