As the second quarter of 2024 comes to a close, we're taking a look at how the top fitness and weight loss applications have performed on the iOS platform in the US. Sensor Tower provides us with a comprehensive overview of these apps' downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.
Yuka - Food & Cosmetic Scanner saw its downloads fluctuate, starting at around 5K in the first week of April and dipping to 1.6K towards the end of June. Weekly active users started at approximately 16K but showed a slight decreasing trend to around 13K by the end of the quarter.
Strava: Run, Bike, Hike experienced a revenue peak in early June, reaching over $14K, after starting the quarter with around $10K. Downloads for the app remained fairly consistent, hovering around 1.7K to 2.5K per week. The weekly active users showed a slight increasing trend from 24K to 25K over the quarter.
MyFitnessPal: Calorie Counter maintained its strong position with revenue ranging from around $14K to $18K during the quarter. Downloads saw a slight decrease from 1.3K to around 1.2K, while weekly active users were quite stable, with a peak at 118K and ending the quarter around 113K.
Runna: Running Training Plans showed a revenue increase from $9K in the first week of April to $12K at the beginning of June, with a slight decline to $10K by the quarter's end. Downloads saw peaks and valleys, with a high of 1.3K in late April and a low of 799 in late May. The weekly active users increased from approximately 4.8K to 5.8K in early June, ending the quarter at about 5.1K.
Lastly, JustFit: Lazy Workout & Fit observed its revenue decline from $3.8K to around $1.6K by mid-June, picking up slightly to $1.6K towards the end of the quarter. Downloads started at 1.7K, with a noticeable dip to 505 in mid-June, and a return to 572 by the quarter's end. The weekly active users showed a downward trend from 4.1K to 3.7K.
