Q2 2024 Performance of Top Australian Fast Food Apps

Australian fast food lovers continue to engage with their favorite restaurant apps, as the Q2 2024 data shows varied performance across the board. Sensor Tower's latest data provides us with an interesting look into the app trends for some of the most popular fast food chains in Australia.

Starting with MyMacca's, the app saw a decrease in downloads from 38K in the first week to 25K by the end of the quarter. However, weekly active users started at 627K and peaked at 695K in early June, before closing the quarter at 650K.

The KFC - Order On The Go app also experienced a declining trend in downloads, starting at 27K and dipping to just under 24K. Weekly active users fluctuated, beginning at 255K, dipping mid-quarter, and then stabilizing around 249K.

Hungry Jack’s Deals & Ordering app downloads were a bit of a rollercoaster, with an initial 19K downloads in the first week, a mid-quarter rise to 20K, and ending the quarter at 19K. Their active users saw a slight decline overall, from 170K to 171K.

Guzman y Gomez (GYG) Mexican app's downloads showed some variability but ended the quarter stronger at 16K compared to 12K at the start. Weekly active users saw a steady increase from 33K to almost 39K throughout the quarter.

Lastly, Domino's experienced relatively stable download numbers, starting at 13K and peaking at 15K towards the end. Weekly active users had a notable dip mid-quarter but recovered to end slightly lower at 69K from an initial 71K.
