In Q2 2024, the Fitness and Weight Loss Programs category has seen varied performance across leading applications. Here's a snapshot of how the top apps fared on a unified platform, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Step Counter - Pedometer by Hitchhike Tech showed a fluctuating download trend, starting at around 2K in the first week of April and peaking at approximately 2.5K in early June. Weekly active users began at roughly 9K and hit a high of nearly 9.8K in the same early June period.
Another app from Leap Fitness Group, also named Step Counter - Pedometer, demonstrated a more varied download pattern, starting at roughly 2.4K and dipping to 651 by late June. Revenue for this app showed modest figures, peaking at 31 USD in early June. Weekly active users started at an impressive 40K, yet saw a decrease to around 26K by the end of the quarter.
Xiaomi's Mi Fitness (Xiaomi Wear) experienced a steady download count, maintaining numbers in the 1K-1.7K range throughout the quarter. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, hovering in the 20K-22K range.
MyFitnessPal: Calorie Counter by MyFitnessPal, Inc. saw consistent revenue, with a peak at about 1.9K USD in both the first week of April and the first week of May. Downloads for the app were consistent, with a slight increase to over 1K in the last week of June. Weekly active users started at around 16.8K and saw a high of approximately 17K in mid-May.
Lastly, Leap Fitness Group's Step Tracker - Pedometer had varied download numbers, starting at about 1.5K and reaching 1.2K by the end of June. The app had no reported revenue. Weekly active users showed an interesting pattern, with an initial 16.8K that rose to a peak of over 20K in mid-May before settling at around 19K.
