In the second quarter of 2024, the food delivery service scene in Latin America has seen notable performance metrics across various platforms. Sensor Tower provides insights into these trends, showcasing how the top food delivery apps have fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.
iFood comida e mercado em casa maintained a strong user base with weekly active users peaking at 12.3M in late April. Downloads fluctuated throughout the quarter, starting at approximately 285K and dipping to around 259K by the end of June. Despite showing no revenue, iFood's active user numbers remained robust.
PedidosYa - Delivery Online also demonstrated a consistent user engagement with weekly active users beginning at 4.8M and reaching just over 5M mid-June. The app's downloads saw a slight decrease from 232K in early April to roughly 212K by the quarter's close.
The Colombian-based Rappi: Food Delivery, Grocery showed a mixed trend, with downloads starting at 170K and rising to nearly 192K in the last week of June. Revenue remained modest, hovering around 30 USD weekly, and active users started at 4M, peaking at 4.4M before settling at around 4.1M by the end of Q2.
Uber Eats: Food Delivery experienced a dip in downloads from 105K to 118K, with weekly active users starting at 1.6M and ending at a similar figure, despite some fluctuations throughout the quarter.
Lastly, iFood para Entregadores, an app designed for delivery personnel, saw downloads ranging from 42K to 52K. Active users showed a slight decline, starting at 232K and decreasing to approximately 226K over the quarter.
