In Q2 2024, the top five free-to-play games in the United States showcased varied performance in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. Here's a detailed look at how each app fared during this period.
MONOPOLY GO! saw its revenue fluctuate throughout the quarter, peaking at approximately $38M in the first week of April and ending the quarter at around $27.7M. Downloads remained relatively stable, starting at 406K and finishing at 416K. However, weekly active users experienced a decline from 1.65M to 1.25M.
Royal Match generated steady revenue, with a high of $15.6M at the start of April and closing June at around $13.7M. Downloads showed a slight increase from 262K to 230K over the quarter. Active users fluctuated but generally hovered around 1.26M throughout the period.
Roblox maintained consistent performance with revenue starting at $13.7M and seeing a rise to $14.9M by the end of June. Downloads increased significantly from 470K to 623K. Weekly active users showed a gradual upward trend, growing from 30.9M to 34M.
Candy Crush Saga experienced a peak in revenue of $13.6M in mid-April, ending the quarter at $10M. Downloads saw a slight decline, starting at 180K and dropping to 172K. Active users also experienced a downturn, from 2.35M to 1.87M.
Last War: Survival saw its revenue peak at approximately $7.3M in early June, ending the quarter at $6M. Downloads were highest in late May at 343K, before settling at 179K by the end of June. Active users increased from 521K to 695K over the quarter.
