In the third quarter of 2024, the social app market on Android in the United Arab Emirates witnessed interesting trends across the top five applications, with data sourced from Sensor Tower providing detailed insights.
TikTok by TikTok Pte. Ltd. experienced fluctuations in its weekly revenue, starting from approximately $310K at the beginning of July and ending the quarter with around $188K. Weekly downloads saw a decrease from about 39K to 28K, while the app maintained a strong base of active users, peaking at over 5M in early August before slightly declining to 4.7M by the end of September.
Chamet - Live Video Chat from Chamet Team showed a varied revenue trend, starting at $109K and closing the quarter at $64K. Downloads increased modestly, peaking at 3.7K towards the end of September. The app's active user count remained relatively stable, hovering around 34K to 38K throughout the quarter.
Poppo Live- Live Stream from the poppo team saw its weekly revenue peak at approximately $57K in early July, with a decline to $38K by the end of September. Downloads showed a downward trend, starting at 4.6K and decreasing to 3.7K. Active users slightly decreased from 16.4K to 15.4K over the quarter.
Bigo Live - Live Streaming App, published by Bigo Technology Pte. Ltd., had a stable revenue trend, starting at $33K and fluctuating to end at $30K. The app's downloads peaked in mid-July at around 8.9K and ended the quarter at 7.9K, while active users remained consistent, ranging from 161K to 173K.
Lastly, SUGO:Voice Live Chat Party by IndiaMasterApp had a revenue increase from $21K to around $21K by the end of September. Downloads showed an upward trend, reaching nearly 3.9K by the end of the quarter, while active users remained fairly steady, fluctuating between 8.5K and 9.9K.
