In the third quarter of 2024, the top health and fitness apps on iOS in the United States demonstrated varied performance in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users, according to data from Sensor Tower.
Yuka - Food & Cosmetic Scanner showed a notable increase in weekly downloads, reaching a high of approximately 243K by the end of September. Revenue for this app fluctuated, peaking at around $118K in the final week of the quarter. Active users grew steadily, culminating in about 784K by the end of September.
Planet Fitness Workouts experienced a decline in weekly downloads, starting at about 153K in early July and decreasing to roughly 89K by the end of the quarter. Revenue remained relatively stable, averaging around $2K weekly. Active users saw a downward trend, ending the quarter with about 2.2M users.
Impulse - Brain Training maintained a steady weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $512K at the end of September. Although downloads were inconsistent, they increased to about 113K in the final week. The app's active users fluctuated but ended with a slight increase to approximately 215K.
Flo Period & Pregnancy Tracker exhibited strong revenue figures, consistently over $1M per week, despite a slight decrease towards the end of the quarter. Downloads decreased from about 110K in early July to around 89K by the end of September. Active users remained robust, fluctuating around 3.8M throughout the quarter.
MyFitnessPal: Calorie Counter generated significant weekly revenue, starting at approximately $2.1M and ending the quarter with around $1.9M. Downloads remained relatively stable, averaging around 75K weekly. Active users showed a downward trend, closing the quarter with about 2.6M users.
