In the third quarter of 2024, the dating app landscape in Denmark saw varied performance across the top five applications, with data provided by Sensor Tower. Here's a closer look at the trends in downloads, revenue, and active users for these apps on a unified platform.
Hinge Dating App: Match & Meet from Hinge, Inc. showed a steady increase in weekly revenue, reaching around $24K by the end of September. Downloads, however, experienced a slight decline, starting at approximately 2.7K in early July and dropping to about 2.3K by the end of the quarter. Meanwhile, weekly active users grew from 60.9K to 63.9K, indicating a positive engagement trend.
Tinder Dating App: Chat & Date by Tinder Inc. maintained strong weekly revenue figures, peaking at nearly $449K in early August. However, downloads saw a gradual decline, from around 1.9K in July to approximately 1.7K by September. Active users also showed a downward trend, ending the quarter at roughly 116.6K.
OmeTV – Video Chat Alternative experienced fluctuations in weekly revenue, starting at $2.7K and ending at $3K. Downloads varied slightly, with figures around 1.2K at the start of the quarter, dropping to 886 in the final week. Active users remained relatively stable, with slight variations around the 9.5K mark.
happn: Dating, Chat & Meet from HAPPN SAS saw weekly revenue peaking at $19K at the end of July, with a general fluctuation throughout the quarter. Downloads decreased from 849 in early July to 667 by the end of September, while active users saw a decline from 18.9K to 17.2K.
Badoo: Dating. Chat. Friends by Badoo Software Ltd. showed consistent weekly revenue, peaking at $31.8K in late July. Downloads remained fairly stable, with a slight increase from 707 to 728 over the quarter. Active users hovered around the 21K mark, showing little change.
