Top 5 Food and Drink Apps in Australia Q3 2024: Unified Platform Performance

In the third quarter of 2024, the top food and drink apps in Australia demonstrated varied trends in weekly downloads and active users, as observed from Sensor Tower's unified platform data.

MyMacca's from McDonald’s Australia Limited showed a notable surge in weekly downloads, especially in early September, where downloads peaked at around 94K. Weekly active users followed a similar upward trend, starting from approximately 708K in early July and reaching around 867K by the end of September.

BWS on tAPP experienced a declining trend in weekly downloads, starting at about 55K in early July and dropping to approximately 22K by the end of the quarter. However, weekly active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 130K to 150K for most of the quarter.

For DoorDash - Food Delivery, weekly downloads saw a gradual decline from around 35K in July to about 24K in September. In contrast, weekly active users demonstrated growth, starting at around 739K and rising to approximately 820K by the end of September.

KFC - Order On The Go witnessed a drop in weekly downloads, beginning the quarter with about 47K and decreasing to about 22K. Weekly active users also saw a decrease, from around 319K in early July to about 253K by the end of the quarter.

Hungry Jack’s Deals & Ordering showed an interesting pattern with weekly downloads peaking at around 37K in early August before falling to approximately 18K by the end of September. Weekly active users mirrored this trend, with a peak of about 208K followed by a decline to around 180K.
