In the third quarter of 2024, the travel sector in the Middle East saw varied performance across the top five apps on a unified platform, combining data from both iOS and Android. All insights are drawn from Sensor Tower's comprehensive data.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel showed a declining trend in weekly downloads, starting from 71K in early July and dropping to approximately 35K by the end of September. Despite the decrease in downloads, weekly active users remained strong, peaking at about 1.45M in late July before gradually decreasing to 1.22M by the end of September.

Uber - Request a ride maintained a relatively stable number of weekly downloads throughout the quarter, fluctuating between 54K and 64K. Active users showed a robust presence, beginning at 1.73M and reaching a high of 1.77M in early September, before settling at 1.72M by the end of the quarter.

Bolt: Request a Ride experienced a slight decrease in weekly downloads, starting from 51K in early July and ending at 41K in late September. The app's active user base saw minor fluctuations, starting at 217K, peaking at 229K at the end of August, and closing the quarter at 210K.

Airalo: eSIM Travel & Internet faced a downward trend in weekly downloads, beginning with 47K in July and diminishing to 20K by September's end. Weekly active users mirrored this trend, starting with 58K and declining to 36K by the end of the quarter.

Nusuk | نسك recorded an upward trajectory in downloads initially, moving from 64K in early July to a peak of 80K by early August, before decreasing to 58K by the end of September. Active user numbers demonstrated growth, starting at 471K and peaking at 589K mid-September, then slightly dropping to 562K by the quarter's end.
