Top 5 Carpooling and Ridesharing Apps on Android in El Salvador: Q4 2024

In the fourth quarter of 2024, the carpooling and ridesharing app landscape in El Salvador showed varied performance trends on the Android platform. Here, we delve into the weekly downloads and active user statistics for the top five apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

inDrive. Rides with fair fares experienced a notable increase in weekly downloads, starting at around 8.4K and peaking at over 11K in mid-December. Meanwhile, weekly active users fluctuated, beginning at approximately 78K, peaking at 80.7K in December, and closing the quarter at about 70.2K.

Uber - Request a ride saw a steady rise in downloads, starting from about 5.4K to a high of 8.7K. Active users also increased steadily, beginning at 136.9K and reaching around 150.3K towards the end of the quarter.

Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver downloads started at 1.3K and increased to a high of 2.4K. The active user base showed an upward trend from 10.7K to approximately 12.5K by mid-December.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides had a steady download rate, oscillating around 300 to 350. Active users showed a gradual increase from 2.8K, peaking at 3.2K in November, and ending the quarter at around 3K.
