In the fourth quarter of 2024, several shopping apps showed notable performance trends on the Android platform in Guatemala. Here's a closer look at the top five apps based on their weekly downloads and active users, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Temu: Shop Like a Billionaire saw significant growth in downloads, starting from about 4.3K in early October and climbing steadily to around 69K by the end of December. Active users also increased from 56.5K to approximately 243K, indicating a growing user base throughout the quarter.

Alibaba.com - B2B marketplace experienced a consistent rise in downloads, beginning at 13K and reaching over 22K by the end of December. The active user count fluctuated, peaking at about 203K mid-quarter before settling at around 162K.

Walmart Centroamérica showed a dramatic increase in downloads, especially noticeable in early November with figures jumping from below 1K to nearly 33K, and maintaining around 24K to 35K for the rest of the quarter. Active users followed a similar trajectory, surging from 645 to approximately 55K.

SHEIN-Shopping Online started the quarter with downloads around 16K, which slightly declined to approximately 7.6K in mid-December before a small recovery to 10.6K by the end. Active users decreased from 275K to roughly 213K, though there was a brief uptick in mid-December.
