In the fourth quarter of 2024, the food delivery app market in France saw varied performance across top applications on a unified platform, comprising both iOS and Android data. Here's a breakdown of the key trends observed for each app, based on data from Sensor Tower.
Uber Eats: Food & Groceries maintained a consistent presence with weekly downloads fluctuating between 48K and 64K. Weekly active users remained robust, peaking at approximately 4.3M by the end of December.
Too Good To Go: End Food Waste experienced a decline in weekly downloads from about 57K to 36K over the quarter. Active users also saw a downward trend, decreasing from 2.6M to around 2.2M.
Jow - easy recipes & groceries showed a more variable pattern with downloads dropping from 36K to 13K mid-quarter, before spiking to nearly 49K at the end. Active users mirrored this fluctuation, ending the quarter with approximately 1M.
Deliveroo: Food & Shopping reported stable downloads, ranging from 22K to 29K weekly. Active users peaked at 1.4M in early December, closing the quarter at around 1.3M.
Finally, Vivino: Drink The Right Wine witnessed a sharp increase in downloads towards the end of the quarter, reaching 36K in the week before Christmas. Active users showed a significant rise, peaking at 787K.
