In the fourth quarter of 2024, the top MMORPG applications on a unified platform in New Zealand showcased varied performance trends. This analysis, based on data from Sensor Tower, offers a glimpse into the weekly downloads, revenue, and active users of these popular apps.
Diablo Immortal by Blizzard Entertainment saw its weekly revenue peak at around $4K in mid-December, despite a slight dip to $2.1K at the beginning of December. Weekly downloads remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 164 and 284, while active users hovered near 900 throughout the quarter.
Old School RuneScape, from Jagex, experienced a peak in weekly revenue at approximately $2.8K in mid-November. Downloads were fairly consistent, ranging from 129 to 201, and active users showed a stable pattern, staying close to 850.
The Legend of Neverland by SKYWORK AI PTE LTD recorded a significant revenue peak of $2.6K in late October. However, downloads saw a sharp decline towards the end of December, dropping to just 35. Active users also dipped from 409 in early October to 229 by the year's end.
Go Go Muffin by X.D. Global, although a later entrant, showed impressive growth with revenue soaring to $4.5K in early December. Downloads spiked to 688 at the same time, with active users increasing to 635 by mid-December.
Finally, Flame of Valhalla from Leniu Games maintained a robust revenue stream, peaking at $4.3K at the start of the quarter. Downloads were steady, averaging around 150, while active users saw a gradual increase, reaching 757 by late December.
