In the fourth quarter of 2024, the top navigation and maps applications in Russia showcased distinct performance trends on a unified platform. Here's a closer look at how these apps fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users.
2GIS: Offline map & navigation saw a significant increase in weekly downloads, peaking at around 230K in late October. Despite fluctuations, weekly active users remained robust, reaching approximately 23M towards the end of December.
Yandex Maps and Navigator experienced a steady revenue stream, with figures hovering around $3K to $4K weekly. Downloads showed a gradual increase, culminating at over 209K in the final week of December. Active users maintained a strong presence, peaking at about 42M.
For Yandex Navigator, weekly revenue reached highs of approximately $16K in late October. Downloads fluctuated but remained stable, with active users showing resilience, reaching nearly 19M at the quarter's close.
Google Maps maintained consistent weekly downloads, averaging around 40K to 46K. The active user base showed a slight decline, ending the quarter at approximately 14M.
GPS АнтиРадар (радар-детектор) experienced a downward trend in downloads, falling to around 20K by the end of December. Active users also saw a decline, stabilizing at about 600K.
