In the fourth quarter of 2024, the performance of Brazil's top shopping apps on a unified platform showcased significant trends in downloads and active users. According to data from Sensor Tower, these applications exhibited varied patterns throughout the quarter.
Temu: Shop Like a Billionaire saw a dynamic quarter with weekly downloads peaking at 1.5M in late October, before experiencing fluctuations and closing the year with approximately 1.1M downloads. The app's active user base showed a notable increase, starting at 4.9M and climbing to over 7M by the end of December.
Mercado Libre: Compras Online maintained a steady growth in weekly downloads, reaching a high of 738K in late November. Active users also increased steadily, starting at 73.3M and peaking at 85.1M users towards the end of November.
Shopee Brasil - Frete Zero reported consistent weekly downloads, with a noticeable increase reaching 710K in early November. The app's active user numbers remained strong, increasing from 85.6M to over 90.4M by the year's end.
SHEIN - Shopping Online experienced a varied download pattern, peaking at 543K in early November. Despite fluctuations, the active user count remained robust, exceeding 48.3M by late December.
Lastly, Magalu: compras com descontos demonstrated notable growth, with downloads spiking to 574K in late November. Active users also showed a positive trend, reaching 34.1M at the close of the quarter.
These insights from Sensor Tower highlight the evolving landscape of shopping apps in Brazil, with more detailed analytics available on their platform.
