In the first quarter of 2025, the Swedish market for meal kits and specialty foods apps witnessed varied performance trends across the top five applications. This analysis, based on Sensor Tower data, provides insights into downloads and active user metrics on a unified platform.
HelloFresh: Meal Kit Delivery experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, starting strong in early January with over 2.2K downloads and gradually decreasing to just above 1K by the end of March. Meanwhile, the app maintained a growing trend in weekly active users, peaking at approximately 38K in early March before settling at around 34K.
Vinoteket demonstrated a unique pattern with a significant spike in downloads, reaching 7.3K in the third week of January. However, this was followed by a decline, stabilizing between 300-400 downloads weekly for the rest of the quarter.
Vivino: Drink The Right Wine showed steady weekly downloads, hovering around 800. Revenue trends saw a dip in early January but recovered, peaking at nearly $2.8K by the end of March. Active users displayed a consistent decline from over 30K at the start to around 14K by the quarter's end.
Factor_ Prepared Meal Delivery maintained a steady download rate, starting at 520 and slightly decreasing to 386 by the end of March. The app's active user base grew modestly, peaking at around 2.6K mid-March.
Linas Matkasse experienced a gradual decline in downloads from 374 in early January to 221 by the end of March.
