The first quarter of 2025 saw notable trends in the performance of top food delivery apps on a unified platform in Australia. According to data from Sensor Tower, these apps experienced varied patterns in downloads and active users.
BWS on tAPP showed a decline in weekly downloads, starting from 52.5K in early January and decreasing to around 15.4K by the end of March. Weekly active users mirrored this trend, reducing from 229K to approximately 121K over the same period.
DoorDash - Food Delivery maintained a consistent increase in weekly downloads, reaching about 29K by the end of March from a starting point of 22.7K. The app also saw its active users grow from 760K in early January to nearly 881K by the end of the quarter.
Uber Eats: Food & Groceries experienced stable weekly download numbers, fluctuating between 20K and 26K. Active users remained robust, starting at 1.86M and ending Q1 with approximately 1.80M.
Too Good To Go: End Food Waste saw a significant spike in weekly downloads mid-March, peaking at 57.8K. This app also increased its active user base from 55K at the start of the quarter to over 137K by the end of March.
DoorDash - Dasher had steady weekly downloads ranging from 6.9K to 10.3K. Active users showed minor fluctuations, starting at 68.8K and stabilizing around 73.6K by the end of the period.
