In the first quarter of 2025, the UK saw dynamic trends in the food delivery app market. Here's a look at the top five apps and their performance metrics based on data from Sensor Tower.
Too Good To Go: End Food Waste saw a notable increase in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 99K in late January. Active users fluctuated throughout the quarter, starting at 2.1M and reaching a high of 2.6M in mid-March.
Uber Eats: Food & Groceries had a varied download pattern, beginning at 70K in early January and maintaining a steady range around 42K to 58K towards the end of the quarter. Active users started at 4.9M and showed a slight decline, stabilizing around 4.4M by the end of March.
Just Eat - Food Delivery experienced consistent weekly downloads, fluctuating between 46K and 55K. Active users demonstrated resilience, beginning at 3.1M and maintaining around 2.6M in March.
Deliveroo: Food & Shopping reported stable download numbers, averaging around 35K to 42K weekly. Active user numbers remained strong, hovering between 3.3M and 3.8M throughout the quarter.
HelloFresh: Meal Kit Delivery showed a gradual decrease in downloads, starting at 18K and dropping to around 9K by the end of March. Active users fluctuated slightly, beginning at 299K and reaching 325K in March.
