In the first quarter of 2025, the top food delivery services in the United States showcased varied performance trends in terms of downloads and active users on a unified platform. This analysis is based on data from Sensor Tower, offering insights into market dynamics.
DoorDash - Food Delivery maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads averaging around 460K. Despite some fluctuations, weekly active users exhibited a general upward trend, peaking at approximately 27M by the end of March.
DoorDash - Dasher experienced a steady number of downloads, oscillating between 230K and 280K weekly. Active users showed a significant increase towards mid-March, reaching about 5.5M.
Uber Eats: Food & Groceries saw weekly downloads stabilize around 240K, with active users peaking in late January at 12.8M before settling at around 12M by the quarter's end.
Instacart: Groceries & Food downloads varied, starting at 169K and dipping to 148K mid-March, while active users reached their highest in late January at over 10.5M.
Too Good To Go: End Food Waste began the quarter with higher download numbers, around 200K, but saw a decline, ending at about 108K. Active users, however, remained robust, peaking at 3.4M in early February.
