In the first quarter of 2025, the top insurance applications in Oceania demonstrated varied performance trends across downloads and active users. Here's a closer look at how these apps performed on a unified platform, with data sourced from Sensor Tower.
myBupa from Bupa Australia Health Pty Ltd saw a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting from 8.8K at the beginning of January and reaching a peak of 14K by late March. Active users also rose from 205K to 238K over the quarter, indicating growing engagement.
My Medibank experienced a gradual rise in downloads, beginning at 5.3K and climbing to 7.6K by the end of the quarter. The active user base fluctuated slightly, peaking at 159K mid-quarter before stabilizing at 142K.
The AAMI App showed consistent growth in downloads, increasing from 4.6K to 7.3K. Active users rose steadily from 161K to 178K, reflecting a stable user retention.
nib downloads saw a moderate increase from 2.6K to 4.9K. The active user count showed a positive trend, starting at 21K and reaching 29K by the end of March.
Lastly, NRMA Insurance downloads varied, beginning at 3.5K and peaking at 4.9K. Active users remained relatively stable, with a slight increase from 23K to 26K.
